Terms of Service

By accessing or using BookExpert, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before creating an account or booking a session.

For Users (Learners)

  • You must be 13+ years old to use BookExpert
  • Each booking is for personal use only — no resale
  • Sessions must be attended at the scheduled time
  • Payments are processed securely via Razorpay
  • Cancellation is allowed up to 24 hrs before the session

For Experts

  • You must apply and be approved before going live
  • All information in your profile must be accurate
  • You are responsible for honoring confirmed bookings
  • Earnings are released after session completion
  • Misleading credentials may lead to account removal

1. Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on BookExpert. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity under your account.

2. Platform Use

BookExpert is a marketplace that connects learners with independent subject-matter experts. We do not employ the experts on the platform. All sessions are independent engagements between a user and an expert.

You may not use BookExpert to engage in any unlawful activity, harass other users, misrepresent your identity or credentials, or attempt to circumvent the platform's payment flow.

3. Bookings & Payments

All bookings are final once payment is confirmed. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. BookExpert retains a platform commission from each transaction. The remaining amount is credited to the expert upon session completion.

Session fees are determined by the expert and displayed clearly before checkout. Prices include all applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Users may cancel a pending booking at any time before it is confirmed by the expert. Cancellations after confirmation are subject to our Refund Policy. Please review our Refund Policy for full details.

5. Expert Conduct

Experts are expected to conduct sessions professionally and in accordance with the details listed in their profile. Any misrepresentation, inappropriate conduct, or failure to attend sessions without notice may result in suspension from the platform.

6. Intellectual Property

Content you share during sessions is your own. BookExpert does not claim ownership over your session content. However, by using our platform you grant BookExpert a non-exclusive license to display your public profile information (name, bio, photo, category) for marketing and discovery purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

BookExpert is not liable for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any expert session. Our platform's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific session in question. We provide no warranty that sessions will meet your specific requirements.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at any time without prior notice. You may also delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of BookExpert after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
